THE PROBLEM TO SOLVE:
As a two sided marketplace, HomeAdvisor had one app experience for consumers, and another for the contractors who used the system to generate work leads. We designed new service provider feature in which a contractor could get leads from homeowners that might be outside their work or geographical parameters, and offered them as limited time deals. This product benefitted homeowners since it expanded the number of contractors available to them, and benefitted contractors as it gave them an opportunity for business they might not have seen under regular circumstances.
